Life is Skill
The iOS app for a Czech nonprofit that gets kids and adults off screens and outdoors. Players scan QR codes, NFC tags and tourist signs to collect points. I built it end to end and shipped it to the App Store.

The client
Life is Skill is a Czech nonprofit that encourages children, young people and adults to spend less time on screens and more time outside. In its game, players earn points by exploring nature and going to sports and cultural events, and the more points they collect, the better their chance of winning prizes.
What I built
A new version of their iOS app, written from scratch as my bachelor thesis at FIT CTU. It had to match everything their Android app could already do:
- Sign in with an existing Life is Skill account, register, or reset a password.
- Scan points from QR codes, NFC tags and tourist signs.
- See collected points, rankings in each category, and a map of every game point.
- Complete a profile and invite friends with a QR code.
It went live on the App Store on 24 December 2024.
